FUNCTIONS OF Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia - SSM or Companies Commission of Malaysia

Pendafar Syarikat Malaysia - Registrar or Companies - ROC

To administer and enforce the following Acts and related regislations namely:
•Companies Act 1965 (Act 125)
•Registration of Businesses Act 1956 (Act 197)

To provide corporate and business information

To serve as an agent to the Government in collecting and enforcing payment of prescribed fees

To regulate matters pertaining to the incorporation of companies and business registration

To promote ethical conducts amongst directors, company secretaries, managers and personnel who are directly involved in the management of a company or business

To carry out research on matters relating to corporations, companies and businesses

To advise the minister on general matters pertaining to corporations, companies and businesses

To carry out relevant activities to ensure the smooth running of the administration and effective implementation of the Commission's functions

Approving of local and foreign companies name either for new incorporation or change of name.

Processing And Approving the incorporation of a Local Company

Processing And Approving the Registration of a Foreign Company

Maintain and update the Companies Register with changes in the prescribed particulars of all companies in accordance with the statutory returns submitted

Issuing certificate of Registration of charges pursuant to section 111(2) Companies Act 1965

Deals with matters relating to Winding-Up, Striking-Off (section 308) and compilation of particulars on liquidation

Supply Of Company Information

Received complaints and conduct investigation under the Companies Act 1965
